KLT is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on school release days. These are fun filled theme days with field trips and/or activities.
Kindergarten through sixth grade.
Education is an integral part of our program and time for reading and homework is offered daily.
Each day, at the appropriate times, the children are escorted to and from their busses.
Before School
The before school program provides those parents who need to be at work before 9:00 a.m. a sense of security in knowing that their child is in excellent care. Our staff offers activities such as board games, puzzles, Legos, and art projects for the arriving children. A nutritious breakfast is served between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m.
After School
The after school program provides a casual and flexible environment that allows children time to be creative, energetic and/or quiet. While at the program, the children may choose from a variety of activities. The playground where the children may engage in organized games or individual play is open daily. When available, the gymnasium allows children to have access to a variety of indoor sports equipment such as scooters, tumbling mats, and volleyballs. A computer lab is available for children to research information, work on homework, and play games. Of course, there is always time to just relax and play. Cozy spots are available to sit and read, chat with a friend, or just hang out. The children often help prepare the nutritious, yummy snacks that are provided every day.

Each week we will have a unique theme to spark imagination and learning. There will be group activities such as field trips, science experiments, arts and crafts, and games that fit the theme of the week. Several times a week there will be clubs for independent interests. These clubs might include Space, the Final Frontier; Sports; Wild Kingdom and Superheroes. We will also take field trips to some of the most fun and exciting places Minnesota offers. Field trips are typically three times a week and include swimming, climbing parks, museums, farms, roller skating, caves sporting events and much more. Another highlight of our summer program is our visiting professionals. Throughout the summer, KLT Kids will be visited by the talents of neighboring professionals. Visitors may include artists, doctors, scientists, and police officers.
KLT Kids' Summer Jamboree is a program devoted to filling your child's day with FUN, DISCOVERY, EXCITEMENT, and FRIENDSHIP. It is a celebration of childhood. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun summer program -- a program that encourages the growth of your child while providing an opportunity to play, laugh and enjoy friendships.
