Extended Childcare

St. Matthew’s extended childcare program is called Kids Learning Together or KLT for short. KLT is a program devoted to filling your child’s day with fun, discovery, excitement and friendship.

KLT also reflects St. Matthew’s commitment to supporting working families and the challenges they face providing for the safety and well-being of children while parents are at work. In addition to providing extended care for St. Matthew’s students, St. Matthews parish offers child care for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

KLT strives to provide safe, fun and affordable care for your school-age child. Scheduling is flexible. Choices are many.

KLT Kids Before and After School

Before School:	6:00 a.m. ­ 9:00 a.m.
After School:	2:30 p.m. ­ 6:00 p.m.
School Vacation Days:	6:00 a.m. ­ 6:00 p.m.
Summer Program:	6:00 a.m. ­ 6:00 p.m.

Before School

The before school program offers those parents who need to be at work before school starts at 8:00 a.m. a sense of security in knowing that their child is in excellent care. Our staff offers activities such as board games, puzzles, Legos and art projects for the arriving children. A nutritious breakfast is served between 7:30 ­ 8:15 a.m.

After School

The after school program provides a casual and flexible environment that allows children time to be creative, energetic and/or quiet. While at the program, the children may choose from a variety of activities including:

• The playground where the children may engage in organized games or individual play;
• The gymnasium, when available, allows children access to a variety of indoor sports equipment such as scooters, tumbling mats and volleyballs;
• A computer lab is available for children to research information, work on homework and play games.
• Daily homework help is available for children Mon-Thurs. so their homework is complete by the time they go home.

KLT also provides cozy spots for kids to sit and read, chat with a friend or just hang out. The children also can help prepare the nutritious and tasty snacks provided every day.

School Vacation Days & Summer

Child care is available on school vacation days and summer months are jam-packed with special field trips and activities for every week.
