Student Achievements

The quality of St. Matthew’s education is demonstrated by the success of our graduates.

Most of St. Matthew’s graduates, approximately 75%, go on to attend Catholic, college-prep high schools in the area with the majority choosing Cretin-Derham Hall, but others attending Visitation, St. Thomas Academy, and St. Bernard’s.

To get a better idea of how St. Matthew’s students stack up, consider their performance at Cretin-Derham Hall, with an enrollment of 1500 students from across the metro area.

Recently:

• 71% of St. Matthews graduates made Cretin-Derham Hall honor roll
• Out of 1200 students, six St. Matthew’s graduates were recognized as The Student of the Month which awards the top performance for various disciplines.

For those students who attend public high schools:

• The schools report they automatically place St. Matthew graduates in honors classes or their equivalent.
• Two St. Matthew’s graduates received Athena Awards, an award for girls which recognizes both academic excellence and athletic ability.
