We do not want the cost of tuition to be a barrier to any family who would like to send their children to St. Matthew’s School. The majority of St. Matthew’s families receive some form of financial assistance and we are highly flexible in our approach to payment. If parents find they are struggling to meet their tuition commitment, we ask that they contact the Director of Education and Formation to discuss their situation.
We offer four ways for families to raise money toward their $300 family fundraising fee. Any amount you raise above the $300 can be applied directly to your child’s tuition. The fee is per family, not per child.
After completing training, parents or other adult family members work at venues such as the Metrodome, the Xcel Center and Williams Arena selling concessions during sporting events and concerts. In lieu of a pay check the school receives a check to be used toward tuition fees. Some families pay their entire tuition through working events.
Held during the first week of October, students collect pledges from friends and family. This money counts dollar-for-dollar towards the fundraising fee. This is a fun event where students can win many prizes and recognition for their efforts.
Many of the stores where you already shop participate in the SCRIP program (e.g. CUB, R.C.Dicks, Kohl’s, SuperAmerica, Holiday, etc.) By purchasing a SCRIP card these businesses will contribute a percentage to St. Matthew’s. You spend the same amount but by using SCRIP you can help pay your tuition every time you buy groceries or gas for your car.
Students sell products to friends, neighbors and family and are credited 40-50% of the item. Students think this is a fun promotion because they can win some great prizes if they sell a certain amount.
