Breakfast Program

This is a NEW program that provides breakfast to all students FREE of charge.  This federal and state funded program allows all students to receive a nutritious meal upon arriving at school.  Studies have shown that breakfast programs improve academic achievement and reduce truancy.  In a short time, this program has become very popular with students, parents and teachers who say they are seeing the benefits in the classroom. 

Hot Lunch

St. Matthew’s School provides home-made, nutritious and delicious hot lunches to students that are prepared in our own kitchen.  We are one of the few schools that still prepares the food on site.   Students are also free to bring their own lunch.

Cost for lunch is $2.00 which includes milk.  For students bringing their lunch, milk can be purchased for 40 cents.  Each family maintains a lunch account the student can use to purchase their meal. 

Our lunch program is subsidized by state and federal programs.  At the time of registration, we ask all families to fill out an application to see if they are eligible for free or reduced lunches.
