Financial Assistance

For low-income families, St. Matthew’s is committed to providing case-by-case, individual, holistic financial assistance from as many sources as possible. A confidential, objective application and evaluation process is used to determine financial assistance.

Many Ways to Pay-Family Fundraising Fee & Tuition

We offer four ways for families to raise money toward their family fundraising fee. Any amount you raise above the $300 can be applied directly to your child’s tuition. The fee is per family, not per child.

Marathon for non-public education

Held during the first week of October, students collect pledges from friends and family. This money counts dollar-for-dollar towards the fundraising fee and tuition. This is a fun event where students can win many prizes and recognition for their efforts.

SCRIP

Many of the stores where you already shop participate in the SCRIP program (e.g. CUB, R.C.Dicks, Kohl’s, SuperAmerica, Holiday, etc.) By purchasing a SCRIP card these businesses will contribute a percentage to St. Matthew’s. You spend the same amount but by using SCRIP you can help pay your tuition every time you buy groceries or gas for your car.

Candy Bar Sale

Students sell products to friends, neighbors and family and are credited 40-50% of the item. Students think this is a fun promotion because they can win some great prizes if they sell a certain amount.

Pioneer Foundation

After completing training, parents or other adult family members work at venues such as the Metrodome, the Xcel Center and Williams Arena selling concessions during sporting events and concerts. In lieu of a pay check the school receives a check to be used toward tuition fees.
